In addition to the EMBA and the on-campus MBA, the College of Business has launched a new 100 % On-Line MBA. This new program is designed for students who live out of the region or cannot come to Ruston for the On-Campus program. It is ideal for military personnel subject to TDY assignments or changes in duty stations. If you have internet access, you can complete the courses. The course work can be completed on your schedule--they are not tied to a particular class time.
The courses have the same content, rigor, and quality found in the on-campus courses, and the program is fully accredited by AACSB International.
WHAT ABOUT THE FOUNDATION COURSES FOR NON-BUSINESS STUDENTS?
If you do not have a degree in Business and must take the foundation courses, we have you covered there as well. You have two ways to complete the foundation courses on-line. The undergraduate core business courses that serve as foundation are all on-line as well. Alternatively you could take our new innovative FAST-TRACK (http://www.business.latech.edu/graduate/fast-track.htm) program. This is a set of four, self-paced courses that serve as the foundation. Since these are self-paced, you have the opportunity to complete the foundation more quickly than with the regular on-line undergraduate courses. Choose the approach that best fits your needs and situation.
HOW LONG IS THE ON-LINE MBA PROGRAM?
The On-line MBA is the same 30 hour program as the on-campus MBA. Eight core and two focus courses are required but no concentrations are available at this time.
WHEN ARE THE COURSES OFFERED?
Each on-line course will be offered once per year on the following schedule:
|Fall Quarter:||ACCT 505|
|Winter Quarter:||CIS 510|
|MGMT 595 (Capstone)|
|Spring Quarter:||BUSN 501|
|Summer Quarter:||MGMT 595 (Capstone)|
The schedule for the focus courses is not yet available.
WILL I BE GUARANTEED A SEAT IN THE ON-LINE COURSES?
IF YOU ARE ADMITTED TO THE 100% ON-LINE PROGRAM, YOU WILL HAVE PRIORITY REGISTRATION TO GUARANTEE YOU A SEAT.
All others may enroll in these courses as space allows.
HOW DO I APPLY AND IS THERE AN ADDITIONAL ON-LINE CHARGE?
Admission requirements and procedures are the same as for the on-campus MBA with the exception that you MUST DESIGNATE “ON-LINE PROGRAM” on the application.
