TBDC hosts Business of Innovation seminar
Business innovators who plan to launch a new venture or introduce new products or services can learn the basics for starting such endeavors by attending the Business of Innovation seminar hosted by Louisiana Tech’s Technology Business Development Center. Tech and the Jones Walker law firm are sponsoring this intensive one-day event, which offers strategies and information for optimizing business startup. The May 21 seminar, which will be held in Shreveport, will include a variety of business professionals discussing business planning, intellectual property, forms of business organization, accounting issues, tax responsibilities and venture funding. The program will include two hours of Q & A with professional consultants and experienced entrepreneurs. Cost of the event is $35 for individuals who register by Monday, May 16. After that date, registration is $50. The event will be held at CoHabitat, 610 Commerce Street, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and space is limited.
