The Congress is hosted by Louisiana Tech’s Department of Marketing and Analysis, the Academy of Marketing Science, which is headquartered at Tech, and its international partner Reims (France) Management School.  The theme of the Congress questions the old adage, “The Customer is Always Right.” Approximately 500 participants are expected to attend the event and will take part in sessions presented by speakers from 49 countries.  These featured speakers will share their expertise on cutting edge marketing research with many sessions focusing on how institutions and customers together co-create value. A panel on business ethics highlights the Congress and features two internationally-renowned scholars – Professor O.C. Ferrell from the University of New Mexico and Professor Donald P. Robin (retired) who was formerly a member of the marketing faculty at Louisiana Tech. Ferrell and Robin will challenge the various ways different companies and researchers have tried to change the meaning of what it means to be ethical, reinforce the theoretical meaning of what it means to be ethical, and how good ethics benefits all stakeholders of the firm.
