College of Business to Host Quarterly Economics Roundtable

Louisiana Tech University’s College of Business will host an Economics Roundtable on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 4 p.m. in the Davis Auditorium (College of Business 101). Sponsored by the Center for Economic Education at Louisiana Tech, this free event is open to the public.

Faculty members from the Department of Economics and Finance will discuss and answer questions of economic and social importance pertaining to the U.S. healthcare system. 

The Economics Roundtable is a quarterly gathering to publicly discuss and answer questions about current events of economic and social importance. The topic typically pertains to current events so the discussion is relevant to business decision-making as well as engaging to an informed electorate.

The audience is encouraged to participate by bringing questions for the panel and/or individual speakers to address.

The mission of the Center for Economic Education in the Department of Economics and Finance at Louisiana Tech University is to promote high quality teaching of economics and consumer economics at all levels of schooling (K-12 and the university level) in the State of Louisiana and local Parishes. This is accomplished through the provision of training in economic education for current and prospective teachers of economics and consumer economics, the exposure of students and teachers to the economic way of thinking, and through research in this field.
