Sep 4, 2020 | Business, Impact

Louisiana Tech University’s Professional Master of Business Administration has once again been recognized as a top program in the nation with a No. 2 ranking on College Consensus’ 2020 list of “Best Value Online MBA Programs.”

“We have seen tremendous growth in our MBA program over the last few years, and are looking forward to a record-breaking fall quarter enrollment,” said Dr. Chris Martin, Dean of the College of Business. “Students across the world know that when they enroll in our graduate program they will receive a degree from a highly regarded, nationally ranked, AACSB-accredited, research institution at a competitive price.”

Institutions included in this ranking were selected according to two criteria — return on investment (ROI) and affordability — by utilizing data from U.S. News & World Report. Tech scored a 97.77 for ROI and 100 for affordability.

Louisiana Tech’s Professional MBA provides an interdisciplinary approach that prepares innovative and ethical leaders for success in today’s rapidly changing business environment. The program is designed to provide a solid foundation in all business disciplines while integrating technology and innovation and exploring business issues in a global context. The online delivery method makes learning convenient for those who cannot attend a consistent class schedule and prefer to work at their own pace.

The College of Business also offers several other delivery methods for the Master of Business Administration. The 30-hour Traditional MBA is taught face-to-face on Louisiana Tech’s Ruston campus. Students can elect to specialize in one of five fields of business (finance, information assurance, innovation, marketing, or six sigma) by taking an additional six hours.

Tech’s Executive MBA curriculum is designed for managers and professionals with leadership responsibilities, and thus relies heavily on integrating each individual’s experience to enhance the overall learning. Structured to provide minimal disruption to busy work schedules and personal lives, students pursuing the Executive MBA meet for classes every other weekend in Tech’s Bossier City, La., Academic Success Center.

The Hybrid MBA is a 24-month, 36-hour program with concentrated coursework in computer information systems and information assurance. All in-person classes take place in Bossier City.

Graduate certificates in business administration and information assurance as well as a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) are also offered as part of the College of Business’ graduate programs.
