Fortune includes Traditional MBA on newest list of top programs
Louisiana Tech University’s Traditional Master of Business Administration has been named to Fortune’s inaugural full-time MBA ranking. The College of Business was ranked No. 64 in the nation, and the only public institution in Louisiana named to the list.
Methodology for this ranking included a heavily weighted outcomes score (including median and mean base salaries and job placement rates), brand score (based on Fortune/Ipsos brand survey to hiring managers), and Fortune 1000 score (number of MBA alumni in C-suite positions in Fortune 1000 organizations).
“This ranking is a testament to the quality of our faculty, staff, and students, and shines a light on the fantastic outcomes of our graduates” said Dr. Chris Martin, Dean of the College of Business. “We pride ourselves on preparing our graduates for success in their careers through relevant and innovative academics, and we are grateful that Fortune has recognized these efforts.”
The latest Fortune ranking joins a host of accolades for the College of Business, including U.S. News & World Report’s lists of Best Business Schools, Best Graduate Programs, and Best Online MBA Programs.
The College offers the Master of Business Administration in four distinct delivery modes: the Traditional MBA taught face-to-face on Louisiana Tech’s Ruston campus, the Professional MBA for those who prefer the flexibility of online learning, the Executive MBA designed for students with management experience, and the Hybrid MBA with concentrated coursework in computer information systems and information assurance.
Graduate certificates in business administration and information assurance as well as a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) are also offered as part of the College of Business’ graduate programs.
Applications for Fall 2021 are still being accepted. To assist applicants navigating the admissions processes in the midst of the global pandemic, the College of Business has temporarily waived the GMAT requirement for the MBA and MAcc programs for the Fall 2021 quarter for applicants with a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.2.
