Honor Societies

Beta Gamma Sigma, College of Business Honor Society

Beta Gamma Sigma is the national honorary scholastic society for students in all fields of business. A school or college of business administration must be a member of the AACSB in order to have a chapter. Beta Alpha Psi, International Honors Organization

Founded in 1919, Beta Alpha Psi is an honor organization for financial information students and professionals. There are over 300 chapters on college campuses with over 300,000 members initiated since its formation. All of the chapters are AACSB and/or EQUIS accredited. The mission of Beta Alpha Psi is to inspire and support excellence by encouraging the study and practice of accountancy, finance, business analytics or digital technology; providing opportunities for service, professional development, and interaction among members and financial professionals; and fostering lifelong ethical, social, and public responsibilities. Omicron Delta Epsilon, Economics Honor Society

Omicron Delta Epsilon is one of the world’s largest academic honor societies. The objectives of Omicron Delta Epsilon are recognition of scholastic attainment and the honoring of outstanding achievements in economics; the establishment of closer ties between students and faculty in economics within colleges and universities; the publication of its official journal, The American Economist; and sponsoring of panels at professional meetings as well as the ODE Graduate Research and Undergraduate Research Award competitions. Alpha Kappa Psi, Professional Business Fraternity

Founded on October 5, 1904, at New York University, Alpha Kappa Psi is the first professional business fraternity in the United States. The organization strives to inform and better qualify members for life’s work through activities and professional meetings. Its objects are to further the individual welfare of its members; foster scientific research in the fields of commerce, accounting, and finance; educate the public to appreciate and demand higher ideals therein; and to promote and advance in institutions of college rank courses leading to degrees in business administration. Bulldog Entrepreneurs

Founded by students who had a desire to promote creativity and imaginative thinking, this organization helps in meeting student’s needs for starting a business or venturing into the world of entrepreneurship. College of Business Ambassadors

The Ambassadors are a team of outstanding business students who embody the ideals and academic standards of our College. The members are the link between prospective students, their families and our current undergraduate students. Ph.D. in Business Administration Association

For students wanting to be involved in positive change in the doctoral program and College of Business, the Association provides the opportunity through faculty mentors and committee representation. This student-led organization provides a forum for members to support one another, share research and ideas with faculty, and facilitate communication among doctoral students through formal and informal meetings. National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)

The National Association of Black Accountants is a nonprofit membership association dedicated to bridging the opportunity gap for black professionals in the accounting, finance, and related business professions. Representing more than 200,000 black professionals in these fields, NABA advances people, careers, and the mission by providing education, resources, and meaningful career connections to both professional and student members, fulfilling the principle of our motto: Lifting As We Climb. The Investment Society

The Investment Society is a network of students interested in investing, trading, stock market research, portfolio management, financial engineering, and finance education. The organization aims to promote greater awareness among Louisiana Tech students on the benefits of investing and building personal wealth; to education Tech students, regardless of major or prior experience, in investment and trading strategies of varying depths and interests; to connect Tech students with faculty, alumni, and professionals with relevant experience in finance or finance education; and to facilitate educational and competitive investment opportunities and simulations to allow members to gain resume-building experiences. Women in Business is a co-ed professional organization that promotes, facilitates, and grows a network of young business women interested in learning about the common barriers that women face in the business world. Information Systems Students Association

Information Systems Student Association (ISSA) at Louisiana Tech University is a dynamic and inclusive student organization dedicated to fostering a community of aspiring information systems professionals. Our mission is to provide a platform for students to network, learn, and grow in the field of information systems. Institute of Management Accountants 

The Institute of Management Accountants, or IMA, is the worldwide association of accounting and finance professionals in business. The IMA-North Louisiana Student Chapter’s goals are to educate students about workforce development, education, and knowledge sharing, and to advocate of the highest ethical and best business practices in management accounting and finance. Society for Human Resource Management

A worldwide professional association of personnel, industrial relations practitioners, university faculty members and students this organization endeavors to provide professional enrichment for the academic experience through its activities. Louisiana Tech University Supply Chain Club

For those pursuing majors in Supply Chain Management, this club provides a great opportunity to further knowledge on sourcing, logistics, information systems, and strategy as well as gain access to unique opportunities in the field. The club also educates and encourages students in other business majors on the importance of supply chain and operations management in the business world.
