Master the art and science of managerial leadership

One of the most important skills any professional can possess is the ability to effectively manage organizations and lead others. Whether you are interested in work in the non-profit arena, a family-owned business, a top global company, or as a self-employed entrepreneur, you will be prepared to lead innovation and solve financial, material, human, legal, political, and environmental challenges.

A Louisiana Tech University management degree gives you strong problem-solving, communication, strategy, and leadership tools. Combined with our core curriculum’s solid foundation in accounting, economics, finance, and marketing, you will graduate equipped to lead teams and organizations of the future. In addition to a wide variety of engaging classes, management students—like all of our students—benefit from smaller class sizes, highly personalized advising, and career-building internships.

Three concentrations, one solid foundation

We give our students the opportunity to tailor their degree to fit their career needs. Management majors must choose one of the following concentrations.

  • Entrepreneurship Management: Develop, market, and champion new products and ventures
  • Human Resources Management: Recruit, develop, and train a business’ greatest asset—its people
  • Business Management: A broad perspective on the practice of management

The College of Business allowed me to meet different people—from different backgrounds, in different social circles, different colors. You can go through school and never get anything out of it. It’s all about the connections that you make. The connections that Ruston, Louisiana Tech and the College of Business have afforded me are the best thing that’s ever happened.
