What scholarship opportunities are available?

At the College of Business, we understand that the cost of tuition, room and board, and supplies can add up. We believe that students should be able to have the education and college experience they always dreamed of. Thanks to the generous support of alumni, friends, and corporate partners, the College of Business at Louisiana Tech University is able to facilitate that dream by offering scholarships to current, incoming, and transfer students. The number of scholarships and amounts awarded can vary; scholarship amounts typically range from $500-$2,000 per year. Want to learn more? College of Business REAL Scholarship

The REAL scholarship is a four-year undergraduate scholarship awarded to new first-year students from Caddo and Bossier parishes. It requires a separate application process and alumni recommendation.

Applicants must:
  • Be a resident of Caddo or Bossier Parish who will be an incoming freshman at Louisiana Tech in Fall 2019.
  • Be enrolled full-time in the College of Business and declare a College of Business major.
  • Be eligible for a Dean’s Scholarship or an Outstanding Student Scholarship from the Office of Admissions at Louisiana Tech.
  • Students must maintain continuous, full-time enrollment and an overall GPA of at least 3.00 at the end of each Spring Quarter.
Important Information:
  • The REAL Scholarship supersedes all institutional scholarship awards. Students are not eligible to receive both the REAL Scholarship and the Presidential, National Merit, Dean’s, or Outstanding Student Scholarships.
  • Students must be eligible for a Dean’s Scholarship or an Outstanding Student Scholarship from the Office of Admissions at Louisiana Tech.
  • REAL Scholarships will replace our Dean’s Scholarship or Outstanding Student Scholarship. The benefit to students is that REAL Scholarships are a higher dollar value than either our Dean’s Scholarship or Outstanding Student Scholarship.
  • If you are eligible for TOPS, you will receive that award and the REAL Scholarship.
  • REAL Scholarships are awarded for four years or 12 quarters, and require full-time continuous enrollment (except Summer quarter) with an overall GPA of at least 3.00 at the end of each Spring quarter (additional rules apply if you use your scholarship for a Summer quarter; check with the Financial Aid Office).
  • If you switch to a major outside of the College of Business, the REAL Scholarship is terminated and the remaining quarters of our Dean’s Scholarship or Outstanding Student Scholarship eligibility may be reinstated if you meet the eligibility requirements.

Louisiana Tech University Scholarships

Louisiana Tech University also offers a General Scholarship Program through the Office of Admissions. Contact the Office of Admissions for more information.

Financial Aid

Because Louisiana Tech University is a public university, students can look forward to a premium, first-rate education at an affordable cost. Still, we understand that the total cost of tuition, room/board, books, and other expenses can add up. That’s why we’re here to help. Contact the Office of Financial Aid to see how we can help to make your dreams for a quality education, a reality.
