Center for Economic Research publishes annual Louisiana Economic Abstract and quarterly REAL Report
The Center for Economic Research produced two publications this Fall that paint a comprehensive picture of Louisiana’s economy. The 2022-23 Louisiana Economic Abstract is the second in the annual series, while this edition of the REAL Report is the 10th in the quarterly publication.
Accounting major wins state debate title
Senior accounting major Kailee Carter was part of the 2023 State Champion Louisiana Tech Debate Team. She was also named the junior varsity state champion and junior varsity speaking state champion.
Online MBA ranked highest in state on latest U.S. News & World Report list
The online MBA was ranked No. 85 in the nation, and was the highest ranked program in Louisiana for the second year in a row.
16th Annual Marbury Ethics Lecture to feature award-winning documentarian Gregory Kallenberg
Gregory Kallenberg, an award-winning film director and producer, will headline the the Marbury Lecture Series on January 24. As part of the lecture, Kallenberg will screen episodes of his latest short film series, Rational Middle: Net Zero. A question-and-answer session will follow that focuses on ethical business leadership related to energy and the attainment of net zero.

Students in the School of Accountancy are advancing to the Deloitte FanTAXtic National Competition, an annual case challenge designed to educate and prepare the next generation of tax talent for careers in business and tax. Louisiana Tech partners with other institutions through $6 million NSF award
Dr. Nono Gueye is part of the Louisiana Tech team who will partner with other universities to create printable sensors that detect heavy metals and pesticides. Participants will produce databases of eco-friendly, printable sensor inks for microelectronic devices and functionalized carbon dots for detection of toxic chemicals.
