Students compete in TOP DOG pitch contest

Twenty-one teams of Louisiana Tech students recently shared their innovative ideas and products in the annual Top Dog Idea Pitch. During the event, each team had five minutes to make their pitches to judges, and then the room was opened to the public to view and discuss ideas.

Dr. Bob Cunningham Joins College of Business as Executive in Residence

Dr. Bob Cunningham, CEO of the Heritage Group and the Cunningham Group, recently joined the College of Business as Executive in Residence. Executives in Residence cultivate long-term relationships with students and faculty, sharing their expertise and insider perspective with students in the classroom, on research projects, and through out-of-class lectures, workshops, and mentoring opportunities.

CIS Student Represents Tech at Congressional Round Table

Kylie Kalinowski, a computer information systems major, participated as a panelist at a Congressional Round Table event in Washington, D.C. recently that showcased both the Cybersecurity Education and Training Assistance Program (CETAP) and the National Integrated Cyber Education Research Center (NICERC) as a thought leader in K-12 Cybersecurity Education.

Business student receives prestigious PCAOB scholarship

Mackenzie Westmoreland, a senior accounting major, was recently awarded a $10,000 scholarship by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) intended to encourage outstanding accounting students to pursue careers in audit. For the 2019-20 academic year, only 207 students from U.S. colleges and universities were selected to receive the scholarship.
