Accounting Team Advances to Nationals of Deloitte FanTAXtic Competition
Students in the School of Accountancy are advancing to the Deloitte FanTAXtic National Competition, an annual case challenge designed to educate and prepare the next generation of tax talent for careers in business and tax. The group was one of only 16 teams from the regional competition selected to move on to nationals taking place in January at Deloitte University in Westlake, Texas.

Louisiana Tech partners with other institutions through $6 million NSF award
Dr. Nono Gueye is part of the Louisiana Tech team who will partner with other universities to create printable sensors that detect heavy metals and pesticides. Participants will produce databases of eco-friendly, printable sensor inks for microelectronic devices and functionalized carbon dots for detection of toxic chemicals.

Cameron Lewis Receives Prestigious PCAOB Scholarship
Cameron Lewis has been awarded a $10,000 scholarship by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board intended to encourage outstanding accounting students to pursue careers in audit. A recent accounting graduate who is now pursuing his MAcc, Lewis was one of only 250 students selected to receive the scholarship.
